The Honor Magic 5 series, introduced by Honor in February, has achieved significant sales figures. While the Chinese brand wastes no time and starts working on the next models in the series, recent reports suggest that the Honor Magic 6 family is now entering the final stages. New details about the series, rumored to be unveiled in January 2024, have emerged.
Honor Magic 6 features revealed
The upcoming Honor Magic 6 model’s technical specifications have been leaked by sources close to the company. According to the leaks, the smartphone will feature a curved OLED panel with 3840Hz PWM dimming. Furthermore, the screen is said to be equipped with the Oasis eye protection feature, which is claimed to be better than the one on the Magic 5 Pro.
The model will include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Qualcomm continues its collaboration with TSMC for the new processor. The processor, manufactured using 4nm technology, will feature 1 ARM Cortex-X4 core at 3.3 GHz, 3 ARM Cortex-A720 cores at 3.2 GHz, 2 ARM Cortex-A720 cores at 3.0 GHz, and 2 ARM Cortex-A520 cores at 2.3 GHz. The new chip from Qualcomm includes the Adreno 750 graphics unit with Ray Tracing support.
The smartphone will support 66W fast charging with a 5,800mAh battery. The model is also expected to support wireless charging and come with useful features such as satellite communication.
The device will feature a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor with variable aperture and OIS support, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. The smartphone will run on the Magic 8.0 interface based on Android 14 and will have an IP68-rated dust and water-resistant body.
